The side effects of ginkgo biloba

I've been eating Ginkgo for 3-4 months and the significance of it is favourable. It seems that it helps to lessen the impact of stress and alleviates anxiety. Furthermore, it enables me to understand concepts faster.

There is a significant boost when the dosage is doubled in all aspects mentioned. The effects takes place around 1 hour later and can last until the next dosage maybe about 8 hrs later.

One probable assumption that can be made is that my genetic makeup is more sensitive.

But I noticed one major side effect of ginkgo. It's that, when you stop eating, major changes in mental ability results.

For 3 days, I did not consume it and it seems that I cannot concentrate and cannot absorb what I was studying. The ability to understand seems to be impaired. At first I thought that I was just burned out. But a few hours ago I started to consume again and it worked. I could understand concepts easily. I'm not sure if that was the really factor. But it seems that I can understand concepts much faster now.

Does it mean that I'm already addicted to it? I'm about to find out. But now, I'm on drug mode.

However, different people react differently to it. My advise is please do not eat too much of it. If the bottle recommends 1 - 3 tablets a day, be on the safe side and eat only 1.

Sometimes, things that are reported as safe may not be true. Caveat emptor.
